Our Story
The Story of Luxshara
Born from Legacy. Built for the Extraordinary.
Some stories begin with a sketch. Others begin with a dream. The story of Luxshara begins with a father and a daughter, and the quiet, powerful education that passed between them.
Tashara Tarver grew up in the presence of fashion — not as a spectator, but as a student. Alongside her father, a designer whose mastery she absorbed from her earliest years, she learned the language of craft: the discipline of construction, the poetry of fabric, the transformative power of a silhouette. It was an education that no institution could replicate — intimate, rigorous, and rooted in love.
Armed with that foundation, and a formal background in business, Tashara set out to build something the world had not yet seen: a luxury house born from legacy, led by a woman, and rooted in a culture that has long been told it does not belong in this space.
Luxshara is her answer to that narrative.
A House Without Borders
Founded in 2019, Luxshara was conceived in New York — a city that has always been a crucible of ambition — and brought to life through a network of the world’s most distinguished ateliers. Patterns and technical development are crafted in Turkey. Manufacturing and sampling are realized in Paris, Italy, Milan, India, and Vietnam. It is a house without borders, built on global excellence and the belief that the finest hands in fashion, wherever they may be, deserve to be part of something extraordinary.
Recognized. Celebrated. Rising.
In 2023, Luxshara made its international debut when the Obsidian Mid Tote was presented at Paris Fashion Week — where it was met with admiration from those who have dedicated their careers to the world’s most storied fashion houses. The recognition was not merely of a beautiful object. It was an acknowledgment of what Luxshara represents: that a new kind of house is rising, and that extraordinary luxury can emerge from the most powerful of places — conviction.
Luxshara has since been praised by those within the industry for possessing something rare: a point of view that is entirely its own.
What We Stand For
Luxshara is women-owned. It is minority-owned. It is a declaration that the highest echelons of fashion are not reserved — they are earned. We are not here to follow the conversation. We are here to change it.
This is not streetwear. This is not a trend. This is a legacy in the making — one extraordinary piece at a time.
Designed in New York by Tashara Tarver. Crafted for those who understand that true luxury is not worn — it is lived.
